Origins:	The Dole horse of Norway and the Celtic pony of Britain were the ancestors of today's Icelandic horse.
Breed Characteristics:	Slow to mature but are tough and hardy. They can live into their thirtys.Have a very distinctive 5th gait.
Temperament:	Good tempered and willing.
Colours:	All colours
Size:	13hh - 14hh
Uses:	Ideal family pony as they are good weight carriers. Good allrounders but especially endurance.
