Dales Pony

Origins: Northern counties of England. Was used for transporting lead ore from mines to the smelt mills, as well as being used for various tasks around the farm.
Breed Characteristics: A strong, muscular pony with plenty of bone. A neat head set on a short thick neck. Luxurious mane and tale and feathering on the lower leg.
Temperament: Very good temperament.
Colours: Black, dark brown or bay
Size: Up to 14.2hh
Uses: Excellent for riding or driving. Often used for trekking holidays.
